Planes & Parenting   

We toured the Air Force Academy and watched a couple Academy gliders being towed into the sky and released to glide down to the earth on their own.  I found myself holding my breath as the gliders tossed, then glide; some seemed to nose dive a bit before leveling into a glide. 

It reminded me of parenting... you do your best to teach the important things in life to your children while they are "in tow", with the intent of releasing them to glide in their own unique way. 

As parents we hold our breath, cover them in prayer, and watch them take their unique glide into life. We couldn't imagine anything more amazing.
